Dan Sonnen, a Partner and Wealth Advisor at Lauterbach Financial Advisors, has been providing holistic financial planning counsel since 2011. He specializes in planning and investment analysis for foundations and endowments. Employing Monte Carlo Analysis strategies, Dan strives to understand risk in the context of probability and random variables, giving clients more confidence and less worry about their investments and financial lives. Dan values the moments when trust is developed with a client through the meaningful distillation of information.
Dan earned his Master of Business Administration from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, earning an academic scholarship and working as a Graduate Assistant in the Finance Department during his time in College Station. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University. Dan is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder and Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner.
Outside of work, Dan loves spending time with his wife, Vanessa, and their sons, David, Alex, and Eric. He also enjoys golf, yoga, and most outdoor activities. Dan is active in the community. He is a past board member and former Treasurer of the Jewish Federation of Greater El Paso and a current board member of the El Paso Holocaust Museum. Dan also enjoys volunteering with Junior Achievement.
