Miguel Gomez is the Wealth Advisor for Hispanic/Latino Investors at and Chief Compliance Officer at Lauterbach Financial Advisors. He was born in Mexico City and moved to El Paso in 2007.

Miguel started at Lauterbach in 2009 and became a Certified Financial Planner professional in 2014. He obtained the Enrolled Agent designation in 2022.

Miguel loves to help people use their resources in alignment with their values and what’s important to them, like helping pre-retirees and retirees to enjoy this state in their lives, assisting professionals in building multigenerational wealth, or serving business owners with interests on both sides of the border.

Miguel’s mission is to reduce the Latino Wealth Gap, and, as a result, he’s given many talks through non-profits and Employee Resource Groups from mid-size companies to Fortune 500 organizations, with topics ranging from “Personal Finance 101” to “Multigenerational Wealth.”

In addition, since 2014, Miguel has produced Dinero en Español, a podcast where he shares his views on personal finance and interviews remarkable Latinos. Dinero en Español was a finalist of the FiComm Advisor Podcast Awards in 2021 and was awarded “Best Business Podcast” in the 2018 Latin Podcast Awards. As of April, 2023, Dinero en Español has garnered over 750,000 downloads.

Miguel is regularly featured in the media, having appearances in the Wall Street Journal, Sirius XM Wharton Radio, Yahoo! Finance, CBS MoneyWatch, Fatherly, El Paso Inc., Por El Placer de Vivir con el Dr. Cesar Lozano, KVIA, Telemundo El Paso & Univision El Paso, among others. In 2022, Miguel was honored in the “40 Under 40” awards by InvestmentNews, a leading publication in the financial industry.

When not working with clients or producing his podcast, Miguel loves to build LEGO® sets with his children, go to hikes, learn new recipes to cook for his family and hunt for pre-1900 books.
